Can we dismiss a worker whose health prevents them from performing their job?
Q: Our business employs several delivery drivers. One of our drivers has been on personal leave following heart surgery. According to his doctor’s advice, due to his age (65) and physical condition, he will no longer be able to perform his role. We are a small operation and so do not have another role into which to redeploy him. Can we dismiss this driver?
