WorkSafe Victoria v Congy Pty Ltd (2025)

Congy Pty Ltd supplies pre-cast concrete moulds out of a workplace in Ferntree Gully, Victoria. At the workplace, workers were sometimes required to operate and clean a custom-designed dosing machine. Although the machine was manufactured with various safety features, these features had been removed or bypassed at some stage. One of the safety features disabled was a trapped key interlock device that prevented the removal of the cover of the auger while the machine was in operation.
