Farrell v A. Haros Demolition Pty Ltd (2026)

A demolition company was undertaking demolition work at a residential property. During the works, one of the company’s workers was picking and sorting debris while an excavator was being operated nearby. When the excavator bucket became caught on a tree root, it swung towards the worker and hit his foot, crushing it. The incident resulted in the worker requiring amputation of his toes and part of the forefoot.
